Cougars split in softball, baseball tonight

Escambia Academy split in regular-season baseball and softball action against West Florida Baptist earlier tonight at home.
The Cougars defeated WFB 16-3 in baseball play, and lost 10-9 in softball play.
The Lady Cougars led 7-6 in the top of the seventh inning, but allowed four runs in the bottom of the frame.
Ashlyn Glick went 3-for-5 to lead EA; Lexie Hollinger and Brandy Wooten went 2-for-4 each; and Kaile Gumapac went 1-for-5.
In baseball action, the Cougars went ahead 10-2 in the third inning and never looked back.
Stats for the baseball game weren’t available tonight at the conclusion of tonight’s game.
