Officers investigated the scene and were able to determine that debris picked up outside the home was used to start the fire.

Brooks said it was also determined that the Cantonment teen, whose name wasn’t released because of his or her age, was responsible for the arson and several incidents that previously occurred during the night.

“It is believed the juvenile was responsible for a stolen vehicle, burglary of a vehicle and unauthorized use of a vehicle, along with the arson,” Brooks said.

Brooks said both vehicles were recovered and the teen was arrested for arson and theft of property I, and transported to the Baldwin County Juvenile Detention Center without incident.

Brooks said further charges may be pending against the teen.
