The first round of the Alabama High School Athletic Association state playoffs will be held April 22-23.

Area winners will host and the runner-ups travel.

The first and second games each are best-of-three series. They’ll be played as a doubleheader on the first day. The host team is the “home” team in the first game. The visitors are the home team in the second game.

A coin toss determines the home team in the third game, if necessary.

Admission is $8 for a doubleheader and $6 for a third game, if it’s necessary.
