The Florida Highway Patrol is asking for the public’s help in locating a driver who was involved in the death of a Defuniak Springs, Fla., man early this morning.

According to the FHP, Gary Dijon McKee of Defuniak Springs, was killed when the driver of a vehicle hit him while traveling east in the eastbound lane of County Road 1084, just east of Bryan Road.

The front of the unknown driver’s vehicle collided with McKee, after which McKee succumbed to his injuries; and then continued in an unknown direction.

The vehicle’s make and model are under investigation as well as the damage to the vehicle.

The FHP is asking for help to identify the vehicle and the driver.
