Billy Glenn Watford

Billy Glenn Watford, 64, of Atmore, passed away on Fri., July 8, 2016, in Atmore.

He was born in Atmore on July 25, 1951, to the late Carl William and Audrey Inez Sims Watford. He worked for Watford and Sons Inc. for many years, and was currently employed by U.S. Security Associates Inc.

He is preceded in death by, siblings, Carl Ladon Watford and Kathy Watford Gaffney.

Survivors are a daughter, Carla Shane (Mark) Ward of Dublin, Ga.; one brother, David Edward (Gaile) Watford of Fayetteville, Ga.; grandchildren, Blake Ward, Cameron Ward and Logan Ward; and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Services were held Tues., July 12, 2016, from the Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Mike Grindle serving as officiants. Interment followed in the Huxford Reorganized Latter Day Saints Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were Blake Ward, Cameron Ward, Logan Ward, Danny Hall, Mark Shannon and Sammy Day.

Family received friends July 12 at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.

Bonnie Faye White Coon

Bonnie Faye White Coon, 73, of Atmore, passed away on July 8, 2016 in Atmore. She was born to the late Robert and Vivian Smith Little on April 23, 1943 in Lottie.

She was a charter member of Sovereign Grace Baptist Church and owner of Diamond Gasoline Stations.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Roy W. White Sr. and Buford Coon; and her brothers, Glenn Little, Winston Little and Bobby Little.

She is survived by her children, Roy W. (Shelly) White Jr., Tommy (Jennifer) White, Mitch (Gina) White, all of Atmore and Pamela (Eric) Hawn of Alexandria, Va.; one sister, Delores (Lon) Johnson of Citronelle; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Mon., July 11, 2016, from the Atmore First Assembly of God with Bro. Kevin Fralick, Bro. Don Davis and Bro. J. T. Guyton serving as officiants. Burial followed in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were Nolan White, Jackson Breckenridge, Clay White, Noah White, Ethan Dawe and John Brantley.

Visitation was held July 11 from the church.

Foster Baker Patrick

Mr. Foster Baker Patrick, 60, passed away on Thurs., July 7, 2016, in Atmore.

He was a native and life-long resident of Atmore. He was a Little League coach for years and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Atmore.

He is preceded in death by his parents, B.F. and Edythe Patrick; wife, Kathy Patrick; and one sister, Pat James Hall.

He is survived by his wife, Sara Transou Patrick of Atmore; two sons, Anthony Patrick of Atmore and Matthew Patrick of McGargel; one daughter, Amy Evans of Ocean Springs, Miss.; one brother, Benny Patrick of Bratt, Fla.; two sisters, Frankie Donald of Atmore and Manell Cox of Foley; and 10 grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Mon., July 11, 2016, from the Atmore First Baptist Church with the Rev. Arnold Hendrix officiating.

Visitation was held July 8, 2016 at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.

Burial followed at the Serenity Garden Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Billy Wayne Donald, Morton Cox, Patrick Cox, David Ragan, George McGhee and Billy Donald.

Honorary pallbearers were Hal Johnson and Larry Forney.

Franklin Leroy Peebles

Mr. Franklin Leroy Peebles, 75, passed away on Sun., July 3, 2016, in Bratt, Fla.

He was a native and life-long resident of Bratt. Mr. Peebles was a past head deacon, he was well known in Escambia County, Ala. and Fla. for his painting and he was a member of the Bratt Assembly of God.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Gip and Ola Peebles; three brothers, Silas Peebles, Wilburn Peebles and Henry Peebles; and two sisters, Irene Godwin and Katherine Stewart.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Bonnie Peebles of Bratt; three sons, Tony (Rhonda) Peebles of Robinsonville, Darin Peebles of Bratt and Phillip (Cynthia) Peebles of Red Level; four brothers, Vernon Peebles of Cantonment, Fla., Paul Peebles of Cantonment, Lester Peebles of Lottie and Raymond Peebles of Christian Home, Fla.; two sisters, Nancy Luverne Diamond of Wawbeek and Ruth Elaine Spender of Sharon, Ma.; one grandson, Justin Peebles; three granddaughters, Nastasha, Ashley and Kayley Peebles; and one great-grandson, Colton Peebles.

Funeral services were held Sat., July 9, 2016, from the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Rick McHarry and the Rev. Ronald Hall serving as officiants.

Burial followed at the Godwin Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Willie Peebles, Keith Peebles, Jason Peebles, Justin Peebles, Paul Spender and Rick Pickard.

Honorary pallbearers were Randal Hollingshead, Shannon Peebles, Anthony Peebles, Lamont Godwin, Paul Lee and Jim Riggs.

Robert Harold Sells

Mr. Robert Harold Sells, 66, passed away on Sat., July 9, 2016, in Poarch.

Mr. Sells was a native of Atmore and resident of Poarch for most of his life. He was a member of the Poarch Creek Indians and the Poarch Community Church.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Roberta Sells; two brothers, Jason Sells and Dewitt Sells; and one sister, Annie Bell Ellison.

He is survived by his son, Jordan Cooper of Brewton; four brothers, Garvis (Catherine) Sells, Tony Sells, Julius (Tonya) Sells and Jerry (Sue) Sells, all of Poarch; one sister, Gloria (Gerald) Krafka of Poarch; 18 nieces and nephews; and numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be today, Wed., July 13, 2016, at 2 p.m. from the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Bro. Walter Lee Rolin and the Rev. Treavor Daughtry officiating.

Burial will follow at the Judson Creek Indian Cemetery.

Visitation was held July 12 and will be held today at the Poarch Community Church.

Pallbearers will be Ellis Martin, Danny McGhee, Jack Allen McGhee, Ricky McGhee, Nathan Martin and Don Jackson.

Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Glenn Sells, Johnny Moore, Augustin Romas, Kevin Watson, Buddy McGhee, Lamar Martin, Nelson Martin, Charles Wicker, Don White, Ricky Nelson, Guy Wynn Sr., Rodney Taylor, Larry Caraway, Curtis Davis and Cleo McCants.

Troy Allen Presley

Troy Allen Presley, 39, of Nokomis, passed away Wed., July 6, 2016, in Mobile.

He was an electrician, born on March 23, 1977, to Edward and Debra Strawbridge Presley.

He enjoyed Alabama football, hunting, fishing, cutting grass and spending time with family.

He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Ronald Strawbridge; his father, Edward Presley; and niece, Gabriella Casey.

Survivors are his wife, Wendy Wall Presley; his mother, Debra Presley; a son, Troy Edward Presley, all of Nokomis; stepchildren, Jacob Ahern, Josh Wall, Claire (Sakair) York and Colby Burkett, all of Atmore; two sisters, Allison (Guy) Wynn and Anna Presley (Colton Casey), both of Nokomis; step-grandchildren, Jebell, Jaxton and Sakair Jr.; and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Services were held Sun., July 10, 2016, from the Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. James Hill serving as officiant. Interment followed in Nokomis Baptist Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were Eric Roberts, Brandon Strawbridge, Brian Strawbridge, Travis Daniel, Josh Daniel and Olan Albritton. Honorary pallbearers were Stevie Carpenter, Guy Wynn, Colton Casey and Walt Maddox.
