Taste of the South will be held tomorrow night, Thurs., Sept. 15, from 5-8 at Heritage Park in Atmore.
The fundraiser, which is hosted by the Atmore Area Chamber of Commerce, is an event where local restaurants, businesses, non-profits and cooks offer samples of some of their best dishes. The tasters judge their favorites.
Four different awards — Best Amateur Taste, Best Commercial Taste, Best Dessert and Best Decorated Booth — will be given out to the winners.
Tickets, which are $10 each and include five samples, can be purchased at the chamber office and from any chamber ambassador. The chamber ambassadors are David Dobson, Jessica Franco, Stephen Gehman, Eli Godwin, Paolo Gorme, Kainoa Gumapac, Derik Kidd, Bailey Lancaster, Trae Lee, Makala Lee, David Weber and Ariel Whatley.
