United Fund of Atmore kicked off its fundraising campaign last week, and the local organization set a goal to raise $30,000 this year, according to officials.
Jennifer Sanders, president of UF of Atmore, said the group had great participation from the agencies chosen to receive funds for the upcoming year.
UF’s 2017 agencies include:
• Atmore Area YMCA
• Atmore T-Ball League
• Pride of Atmore
• Friends of Education of Escambia County Inc.
• Atmore Babe Ruth Baseball
• Atmore Cal Ripken Baseball Inc.
• Atmore Public Library
• Atmore Babe Ruth Softball
“We are looking forward to working with each organization for some new and exciting events,” Sanders said. “We have a fantastic new board in place with fresh ideas.
“United Fund has been present in Atmore for many years and we strive to continue to help our community grow and flourish,” she said. “It is the goal of United Fund to unite people and resources to build a strong Atmore.”
