I-65 southbound lanes blocked due to wreck

UPDATE: All lanes of Interstate 65 are open.

Alabama State Troopers are responding to a single-vehicle wreck on Interstate 65 near the 34-mile marker, according to a release.

There is one confirmed fatality, Trooper Kevin Cook said. “The entrance ramp coming from Alabama 59 going onto Interstate 65 southbound is blocked. Please advise motorists traveling this route to drive with caution as first responders and clean-up crews are investigating the crash.”
