Escambia County did the best it could with what it had tonight, but Carroll-Ozark was too strong as the Blue Devils fell 45-0 in Atmore.

ECHS head football coach Royce Young said Carroll had larger numbers, were bigger and faster, and outclassed his bunch.

“Our kids did the best they could,” Young said. “We’ve got guys trying to play center for us, and up until a week ago, were not doing that. It’s hard to get a play off if you don’t get the snap.

“Our offensive line is patch work each week because some guys who were playing guard and tackle are having to snap for us,” he said. “They’re doing what we’re asking them to do to the best of their ability.

“It’s not a good match up where we are right now,” he said.
