Escambia County places 2nd, headed to Super Regionals
The Escambia County volleyball team has advanced to the Super Regionals in Montgomery after placing second in the 4A Region 1 area tournament on Tuesday. W.S. Neal defeated Escambia County in the championship round, 3-0.

Dinah Samuel led Neal with 12 kills. Caitlin Stuckey had 11 kills.
Escambia County will travel to Montgomery to play against Bibb County at the Multiplex at Cramton Bowl on Fri., Oct. 20. Game time will be at 11:30 a.m.on Court 3. The winner will play the winner of Andalusia versus Handley in the quarterfinals.
The tournament is single game elimination. Price for admission into matches will be $8 per day.
