Do you want to lose those extra annoying pounds?
Scale Back Alabama is back and it is the perfect program to join today! The kick-off was Monday, Jan. 9, 2017. However, you can weigh in at one of the following PUBLIC sites between January 11th – January 18th. Just be sure to call first, to check the time you can go weigh at one of the following sites:
• Atmore Community Hospital at 401 Medical Park Drive in Atmore (see Linda – 368-6369)
• Satellite Office of Escambia County Health Department at 8600 U S Hwy 31, Atmore
• D. W. Memorial McMillan Hospital, 1301 Bellville Ave, Brewton (see Tonya – 809-8308)
• Escambia County Health Department at 1115 Azalea Pl, Brewton(see Rhonda – 867-5765)
• Escambia County Extension Office at 175 Ag Science Drive, Brewton, (see Saundra at 867-7760).
Just think! With all these different sites set up across our county, Escambia County participants should do exceptionally well in helping to fight obesity. This challenge is meant to not only encourage you and a team member to lose 10 pounds in a 8-week period of time, but also to encourage you to use this challenge as a launching point to make healthy changes for you and your family if needed.
Teams who lose 10 pounds per member during the contest will be entered into a statewide drawing for cash prizes! Individuals who lose 10 pounds will also be eligible for statewide prizes regardless of whether their teammate reaches the 10-pound goal. The first three teams drawn will receive $1,000 per team member, the second three will get $500 per team member, and the third three will get $250 per team member. Forty individuals will also receive a prize of $100.
