Six Northview weighlifters will advance to compete in the Florida High School Athletic Association 1A, Region 11 meet on March 25 after a strong finish at district recently.

The following lifters placed in their respective weight classes:

• Greg Pressley, third place, 119-pound class — 295 pounds total (150 pound bench press; 145 pound clean and jerk)

• Dalton Hadley, sixth place, 129-pound class — 300 pounds total (165 pound bench press; 135 pound clean and jerk)

• M.J. Jones, second place, 139-pound class — 380 pounds total (200 pound bench press; 180 pound clean and jerk)

• Ohijie Elliott, second place, 154-pound class — 495 pounds total (270 pound bench press; 225 pound clean and jerk)

• Colten Dockens, fifth place, 154-pound class — 430 pounds total (225 pound bench press; 205 pound clean and jerk)

• Chase Olsen, second place, 169-pound class — 525 pounds total (275 pound bench press; 245 pound clean and jerk)
