Lady Rams pick up 3 wins

Atmore Christian School went 3-1 in recent softball action.

The Lady Rams beat Christian Collegiate Academy 23-8, Snook Christian 20-1 and East Hill 29-19. ACS lost to West Florida Baptist 11-1.

ACS will be in action this week, April 27-29, in the Panhandle Christian Conference tournament in Robertsdale. The Lady Rams, the No. 3 seed, take on No. 6 seeded Lighthouse at 12:45 p.m. and No. 2 seed at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. The tournament, which is in a double elimination format, concludes Saturday with the championship.

The Lady Rams bounced back from a 7-2 first inning, scoring 13 runs in the second inning to take a lead they’d never give up.

Lauren Metzler pitched 3.1 innings and struck out six in the win.

Metzler also had three RBIs at the plate, along with Marissa Overstreet.

Charley Clemmons and Jasmina Stahley had four quality at bats.
WFB 11, ACS 1

WFB scored three runs in the first inning, two runs in the second and fifth and four runs in the sixth.

Metzler threw 5.1 innings in the loss, and struck out three.
ACS 20, Snook 1

ACS scored 11 runs in the first inning and nine runs in the second inning to claim the three-inning win.

Melissa Wilson, LaRonda Bender and Stahley had two hits each to lead the Lady Rams. Lylia Albritton, Bender and Wilson had three RBIs each.
ACS 29, EHC 19

ACS scored 11 runs in the first, four runs each in the second and third, nine runs in the fourth and one run in the fifth.

EHS scored five runs in the first, two runs in the second, one run in the third, six runs in the fourth and five runs in the fifth.

Albritton had six hits and five RBIs to lead ACS. Wilson accounted for four and Bender had three.

Wilson threw 5.0 innings and had six strikeouts for the win.
