Weather expected to be sunny for Mayfest

Showers and thunderstorms will continue in Atmore through the night and into Thursday, according to the National Weather Service out of Mobile.

There is a 90 percent chance of precipitation tonight with new rainfall amounts slated to be between a half and three-quarters of an inch.

On Thursday, showers and thunderstorms will be likely before 1 p.m., and then gradually the weather will turn sunny with a high near 72. Wind gusts could go as high as 25 miles per hour, according to the NWS.

Rain isn’t out of the forecast as the percentage chance is 70 tomorrow.

The low Thursday night will be around 49 degrees.

Weather for Friday is expected to be sunny with a high near 69. The same is slated for Saturday, Mayfest, with a high near 75.
