The Escambia County Lady Blue Devils finished runner up in the Class 4A, Area 2 tournament earlier this week, earning a berth to the South Regional in Gulf Shores next week.

ECHS beat Monroe County 19-2 in the first game, lost 6-1 to W.S. Neal, turned around to beat MCHS 16-1 and lost to WSN 15-0 in the area championship.

As the runner up in area, the Lady Blue Devils play net Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in Gulf Shores.
