WEU wins 3 in Babe Ruth action

The Poarch Orioles edged out a 9-4 win over the Lions Club Cardinals in Atmore Cal Ripken Baseball action last week.

The Orioles held a 3-2 lead going into the fifth inning and added six runs to pull away. The Cardinals scored two runs in the fifth.

River and Erin had two hits each to lead the Orioles.

Kayne Hooks went 2-for-3 with a triple and a homerun to lead the Cardinals. Charlie Sasser added a hit.
Century Black Cats 10, United Bank Warriors 8

Century scored three runs each in the second and third innings, and added four in the fifth.

Jase hit three homeruns to lead Century.

The Warriors scored three runs in the first inning, two runs each in the fourth and fifth and one run in the sixth.

Nick Bowen had two hits; Tate Hawkes had two hits; and Mokoi Baldwin had two hits to lead the Warriors.
Jay 11, FNB&Trust Athletics 9

Brodie Phillips earned the only hit for the Athletics in the game.

The Athletics scored one run in the first inning, three runs in the second, one run in the third and four runs in the fourth.

Jay scored four runs each in the second and third, one run in the first and two runs in the fourth.

West Escambia Utilities 13, NWE 0

Flomaton scored six runs in the first inning, one run in the second and six in the third.

Alex Cash, Jarrod Gibbs and Jaylon Daughtry had one hit each. Sam Smith and Dalton Kent had two hits each for Flomaton.
West Escambia Utilities 8, Carney Lodge No. 549 0

Jackson Steele, Tucker Davneport and Odom had two hits each to lead WEU in the win.

WEU scored one run each in the second and third innings, four runs in the fifth and two runs in the sixth.
WEU 15, Jay Royals 0

WEU scored eight runs in the second inning and five runs in the third during the victory.

Cash went 3-for-4; Gibbs went 3-for-3; Dalton Kent went 2-for-3; Hunter White went 3-for-3; and Seth Killiam went 2-for-3 to lead WEU.
