PCI archers earn medals at state games

The Poarch Creek Indians Boys and Girls Club Archery Team earned medals at the Alabama State Games last weekend in Dothan.

The following archers earned state Olympic medals:

• Dylan Baggett – bronze medal (Cub Male Division)

• Tucker Spence – bronze medal (Cadet Male Division)

• Riley Baggett – bronze medal (Bowmen Male Division)

• Caitlyn Lambeth – bronze medal (Cub Female Division)

• Ryder Spence – silver medal (Bowmen Male Division)

• Lauren Jordan – silver medal (Cub Female Division)

• Ashkia Weaver – silver medal (Bowmen Female Division)

Additionally, Cobie Wiggins received a $1,000 scholarship to the college of his choice.

“We are so proud of the archery team and all of their hard work and dedication,” coach Blakelee Hendrix said. “Every child that competed did well and we look forward to everything they will accomplish in the future.”
