Cory Demetrius Shoemore Sr.
Mr. Cory Demetrius Shoemore Sr., 27, a resident of Bay Minette, passed away June 14, 2017 in Bay Minette.
He is preceded in death by his child, Zy’Kiriah Shoemore.
He is survived by his wife, Alexandria Shoemore of Bay Minette; his children, Cory Shoemore Jr. and Al’Kiriah Shoemore, both of Bay Minette; his parents, Ms. Pamela Shoemore of Bay Minette and father, Mr. Michael Wiggins of Atmore; grandfather, Mr. Robert Shoemore of Atmore ; mother in law, Mrs. JonJuleaner Williams of Bay Minette; sisters, Antoinette Shoemore, Courtney Shoemore, both of Bay Minette, and Ty’Kiriah Wiggins of Atmore.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. this Fri., June 23, 2017, from the Union Missionary Baptist Church in Bay Minette with Pastor Dwight Boykin officiating. Pastor Leslie Williams of Fresh Revelation Church in Stockton, will serve as eulogist. Interment was held in Mutual Aid Cemetery in Bay Minette.

Eleanor Daniel Bell
Eleanor Daniel Bell, 87, of Atmore, passed away Sun., June 18, 2017, in Robertsdale.
She was a real estate broker and insurance agent. She owned and operated Fern Bell Agency and Real Estate, born on May 30, 1930 in Monroeville, to the late Hurdis Leon and Bessie Eleanor Mims Daniel.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Fern Bell Jr.; and a son, Monty Daniel Bell.
Survivors are two sons, Jeff Edward (Tammy) Bell of Enterprise and Mark Cullen Bell of Atmore; one daughter, Sharron Bell (Donald) Bullard of Atmore; two brothers, John Daniel of Mobile and Raymond (Paula) Daniel of Atmore; two sisters, Dorothy Crawford of Huntsville, and Margaret (Jerald) Jaye of Ono Island; grandchildren, Robet Correy Loop, Joshawa Bell, Justin Bell, Katherine Bell, Jeff Edward Bell II, Nathan Bell and Remington Bell; many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends; a special friend Mrs. Eva and other Robertsdale Nursing Home residents.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow, Thurs., June 22, 2017, from Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home
Chapel with Bro. Thurl Pearson officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Freda Willonese (English) Williamson, 84, a native of Atmore, and resident of Orange Beach, passed away on Sun., June 18, 2017.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Royal and Nettie (Hobbs) English; husband, Lemuel Morgan Williamson; and a son, Lemuel Philip Williamson.
She is survived by her son, Joseph Eugene (Debbie) Williamson of Pensacola, Fla.; daughter in law, Cornelia (Robinson) Williamson of Orange Beach; four grandchildren, Kevin (Kathryn) Williamson of Tuscaloosa, Timothy (Dawn Eastman) Williamson of Sterling, Va., Amanda (Charles) Formby of Pensacola and Buck (Beka) Williamson of Pensacola; five great-grandchildren, Madeline Rose and Lillian Kate Williamson of Tuscaloosa, Remington and Colton Williamson of Pensacola, and Macie Grace Formby of Pensacola; as well as numerous extended family members.
Funeral services for will be held at 2 p.m. this Fri., June 23, 2017, at Pine Rest Funeral Home starting with visitation one hour prior to service and burial in Pine Rest Memorial Park.

Irma H. Beech
Irma H. Beech, 97, of Huxford, passed away on Sat., June 10, 2017, at her Residence.
She was a homemaker, born Richton, Miss., on Jan. 16, 1920, to the late Samuel M. and
Sophia Robertson Hartley. She was a member of Huxford Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William “Putt” Beech; sons, William
“Mack” Beech and Ray Marshall; two brothers, Glenn A. Hartley Sr. and James A. Hartley; and one sister, Laverle Lea.
Survivors are one daughter, Quita Kimbrough of Montgomery; eight grandchildren; eight nieces; and five nephews.
Services were held June 13, 2017, from Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. James Boyd serving as officiant.
Active pallbearers were Daniel Ellison, Sean Bonner, Mark Helton, Albert Hartley, Sam Hartley and Robert Hartley.

James Lee “Collise” Knight
Mr. James Lee “Collise” Knight, of Atmore (Freemanville Community), answered the Master’s Call on his 79th birthday at Atmore Nursing Care Center.
He was a native and longtime resident of Atmore. He worked in farming and attended the Freemanville School. He was a member of Mt. Gillead Missionary Baptist Church in Freemanville.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Thomas Knight; two brothers, John T. Knight Jr.; and Monarch Knight.
He is survived by his mother, Ella Mae Knight of Atmore; one daughter, Tawanna Knight of Chicago, Ill.; one son, Melvin Knight of Chicago; one brother, Robert (Doris) Knight of Atmore; special friend, Marsha English of Atmore; one grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thurs., June 22, 2017, from the Mt. Gillead Baptist Missionary Baptist Church — Freemanville with the Rev. Alfonzia Williams Sr. officiating. Inhumation will be in Pierce – Rabb Cemetery (Freemanville) with Turner Funeral Chapel LLC of Atmore directing.
Luvern Passmore
Mrs. Luvern Passmore, 105, passed away on Mon., June 12, 2017, in Pensacola, Fla.
She was a native of Brewton and was a longtime resident of Pensacola, Fla. She was a member of the Olive Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Master Sgt. Melton Passmore; and seven brothers, Marshall, Raymond, Juber, Edward, Aaron, Roger and Amond Steele.
She is survived by her son and daughter in law, Bobby and Violeta Passmore of Grove Hill; two grandsons, Robert and Schon Passmore of Jackson and Richard Passmore of Grove Hill; two great-grandchildren, Rachel and Shawn Claxton of Jackson and Ethan and Katrina Passmore of Jackson; two great-great grandchildren, Addie and Anna Claxton of Jackson; and four brothers, Cleveland Steele of Panama City, Fla., Artis Steele of Pensacola, Fla., Norman O. Steele of Molino, Fla. and Benny Earl Steele of McCullough.
Funeral services were held June 16, 2017, from the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Dr. Jerry Passmore officiating.

Master Kylen D’Angelton Horace
Master Kylen D’Angelton Horace, 7 months, passed away Sat., June 17, 2017, at Children’s Hospital in Birmingham.
He is preceded in death by his cousins, Miracle Grow and Arae Grow.
He is survived by his mother, Jasmine Tierra Grow of Mobile; father, Marlon D. Horace of Mobile; siblings, Marlon Horace Jr., Martayvia Horace and Tylar Horace; grandmothers, Ingrid (Cedric) Hines and Janice Bush; aunt, Raven Grow and uncle, Eric Kidd; a host of other uncles, aunts and cousins; one devoted friend, Derrick Love and Lakyn Anna Griffin.
Visitation with family will be held from 9 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral hour on Sat., June 24, 2017, from The Living Water Apostolic Ministries in Eight Mile with Elder Jimmie Williams Jr., pastor, officiating. Interment will be held in Getsamane Cemetery in Eight Mile.

Maxie Lee Presley Jr.
Mr. Maxie Lee Presley Jr., of the Flat Creek Community, passed away at his Samson residence on Tues., May 23, 2017. He was 70.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Sat., June 24, 2017, at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home in Atmore with Bob Burtnett, officiating. Burial will follow at 11:30 a.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends, beginning at 9 a.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.
He was born Sept. 25, 1946, to the late Maxie Lee Presley Sr. and Marie Riley Presley. He was a member of the Samson Church of Christ. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. Presley graduated from White’s Ferry Road School of Biblical Studies in West Monroe, La. He preached in Robertsdale, West Virginia, Atmore, Pensacola, Fla., Ensley, Fla. and Raceland, La. He also worked security at the Pensacola Airport. He loved the outdoors and was very athletic. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Ann Presley.
He is survived by his sister, Rhonda Burtnett and husband, Bob of Cantonment, Fla.; four daughters, Leigh Anne Presley, Heather Joy Ellsworth (Bryan), Hannah Ruth Lara (Randy) and Lori Beth Walker (Josh) and 12 grandchildren.

Mickey Diane Nichols Roley
Mickey Diane Nichols Roley, 62, of Bratt, Fla., passed away June 16, 2017, in Pensacola, Fla.
She was born on Aug. 21, 1954, in Brewton, to the late Chester and Cora Lee Nelson Nichols.
She worked in the Bratt Elementary School Cafeteria, then later at Bratt-Davisville Water System.
She is preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Sammy Nichols. She was a loving mother and nana.
She is survived by her husband, Jim Roley of Bratt; two sons, John (Charlotte) Roley of Bratt and Kenneth (Sherry) Roley of Davisville, Fla.; two grandchildren, Tyler Roley and Savannah Roley; one brother, Dennis (Tammy) Nichols; and two half sisters, Lisa Lee of Flomaton and Suzie Nichols of Century, Fla.
Funeral services were held June 20, 2017, from the Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ray Hudson officiating. Burial followed in Godwin Cemetery.

Taylor Logan Hale
Taylor Logan Hale was born to Veronica Johnson and Alonzo Hale on Nov. 30, 2016. He departed this life on June 13, 2017, at North Baldwin Infirmary.
He leaves to cherish his memories both parents, Veronica Johnson and Alonzo Hale; brothers, Tyler Hale (his twin), Alonzo Hale Jr. and Zynareon Johnson; sister, Ja’Zaiya McCovery-Hale; grandparents, Geraldin (Jerry) Johnson, Roy Curry Michelle (Cleo) Hale and Roosevelt (Patricia) Cook; aunts, Martina Johnson, Lakeisha Johnson, Kaylen Curry and Roshyra Evans; uncles, Lavelt (Jessica) Hale, Andrew (Chanequa) Hale, Marcus (Karla) Hale and Shemar Stanley; and a special recognition to his aunts, Kaylen Curry, Renee Bonds and Chanequa Gray; and to his cousin, China Robinson.
