The Escambia County Board of Education approved personnel recommendations at its most recent meeting on Aug. 2.

The board made the following personnel recommendations:

In other business, the board:

• Approved the declaration of bus No. D65-93 as surplus property and to transfer ownership of bus No. D65-93 to the Escambia County Sheriff’s Department in exchange for services (such as security at board meetings and extracurricular school-based activities and escorts to away ball games) that will exceed the estimated fair market value of the bus of $1,000.
