There is a high chance of rain that will fall in the area because of a deep layer of moisture associated with Hurricane Harvey, according to the National Weather Service.
The high rain chances will effect the southern portion of the area tomorrow with rain falling across the entire area on Wednesday.
Atmore and Brewotn are in the limited threat area (minor flooding in area rivers and creeks, isolated flash flooding possible), while the southern half of Baldwin and Mobile Counties are in the elevated threat area (minor flooding along area rivers, localized nuisance type flooding in poor drainage areas and small creeks).
“Locally, heavy rains will be possible with the stronger storms Tuesday into Wednesday mainly across much of southeast Mississippi, extreme southwest Alabama and the western Florida panhandle,” the NWS said in a release.
At present, first responders and volunteers are chipping in to help residents of Houston, Texas through the rain and flooding.
