Mr. Herbert Hoover Hall, 89, passed away on Thurs., Sept. 21, 2017, in Atmore.

Funeral services were held Sun., Sept. 24, at 2 p.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. James Boyd officiating. Burial followed at Oak Grove Cemetery with Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home directing.

He was the owner of Hall’s Store, born Aug. 12, 1928 in Oak Grove, Fla., to the late James Clifton and Burlie Buchannon Hall. He attended Presley Street Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Nancy Janelle Hall; and six brothers.

He is survived by two sons, Jim C. (Kathy) Hall of Jackson, and Tim H. Hall of Seminole; a daughter, Janet (David) Womack of Atmore; four grandchildren, Jace (Natasha) Hall, Lana (Michael) Nelson, Shelly (Ryan) Lambert and Morgan Womack; and three great-grandchildren, Ember, Samuel and Arriana.
