Advance to switch to all mail

Beginning Nov. 1, home-delivered subscribers to The Atmore Advance will begin receiving their newspapers through the U.S. Postal Service.

For some time, a large portion of The Advance’s subscriber base has had their papers home delivered. The switch will transition the paper to all mail.

“The switch will allow the staff at The Atmore Advance to focus more on the newspaper’s mission of keeping the public informed while elevating the level of service to our subscribers,” said Atmore Advance Editor Andrew Garner. “By moving all of what we call our thrown papers to mail, it helps guarantee newspaper delivery. This is just one way we are working to provide the best product.”

The current subscription rates will remain the same so readers can enjoy The Atmore Advance’s award-winning news coverage and the security of postal delivery for $10 for three months; $17 for six months or $30 for one year. Out-of-county mail delivery prices will also remain the same at $35 per year. Out-of-state is $40.

“We are committed to continue offering residents of the Atmore area the best local newspaper possible,” Garner said. “We feel transitioning to postal delivery will help us maintain continuity of delivery and deliver the best newspaper possible in a timely manner.”

The Atmore Advance, and the staff at the newspaper is prepared for the change, but if you have any questions or would like some more information, call the office of The Advance at 251-368-2123.
