Frederick Carl Troutman Jr.
Frederick Carl Troutman Jr., 64, of Atmore, died on Sun., Oct. 29, 2017, at his residence in Nokomis.
Troutman is survived by two sons, Travis James Troutman and Sheldon Scott Troutman; wife, Monica Troutman; a step-daughter, Cindy Harcey; mother, Marjorie Troutman; brothers, Rick Troutman and Gary Troutman; and sisters, Kathy Bryan and Pam Wiggins.
A memorial service was held Oct. 31, and another service will be held on a later date.
Miriam Luker Milliken
Miriam Luker Millken, 90, passed away on Oct. 30, 2017, in Atmore.
The family will receive friends from noon until 1 p.m. at Presley Street Baptist Church this Fri., Nov. 3, followed by a funeral service at 1 p.m. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Ezell and Madora Luker; husband, Vincent Milliken; brother, Leo Luker; and sister, Mary McMath. She is survived by her children, Larry Milliken Sr., Alan Millken and Rhonda (Butch) Kinney; sister, Lois Amerson; grandchildren, Larry Milliken Jr. (Lisa), Jennifer Keller (Dennis), Mark Milliken, Roger Milliken and Allyson Moscona (Nicholas); great-grandchildren, Hunter Milliken (Hannah), Sara Milliken, Jackson and Darby Moscona; and great-great grandchildren, Tyson, Levi and Chase Milliken; and a number of nieces and nephews.
She will be remembered by many as Judge Hugh Rozelle’s secretary and later as Sgt. Milliken, the first female sergeant at Holman Prison. Her favorite titles were “Mom” and “Meme.” She loved the Lord and her greatest wish was to get well enough to return to Presley Street Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Presley Street Baptist Church.
She will be greatly missed by her loving family.
Carol Wiley Martin
Mr. Carol Wiley Martin, 78, passed away on Wed., Oct. 25, 2017, in Atmore.
Mr. Martin was a native of Bratt, Fla. and resided in Atmore. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ruben and Nettie Martin; brothers, Robert, Shirley, Bernard Ray and Doug; and sisters, Margaret Martin and Lillie Goldman.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Joy Kay L. Martin of Atmore; one son, Benjamin (Teresa) Martin of Perdido; two daughters, Deanna Martin of Sacramento, Calif. and Jolanda Martin (Tony) Baggett of Tuscaloosa; one sister, Shelby Jean Hatcher of Atmore; and two grandsons, Blake and Drew.
Graveside services were held Oct. 28 at Serenity Gardens Cemetery with Rev. Marty Sellers officiating.
Pallbearers were Tony Baggett, Drew Baggett, Blake Baggett, Adam Martin, John Ashcraft and Gary Bailey.
Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Homes LLC of Atmore was in charge of all arrangements.
Lillian Merle Smith Davis
Mrs. Lillian Merle Smith Davis of Davisville, Fla., passed away on Sun., Oct. 29, 2017.
She was born on Dec. 20, 1925, in Atmore to the late Ernie and Lucy (McElhaney)
Smith. She was Married to William (Willie) Davis.
She is survived by one son, William (Sonny) and wife, Bonnie; two daughters, Eunice (Billy) Edgar and LuCindy Harrison; grandchildren, Billy (Cindy) Davis, Randell (Jackie) Davis, Denny (Tina) Davis and Tony (Jenny) Davis, Sonja (David) Lambert, James (Sally) Edgar, Michael (Amanda) Edgar and Ollie Edgar, Cary Jordan and Chris Edwards.
Services will be tomorrow, Thurs., Nov. 2, 2017, at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Pine Barron Cemetery.
Family will receive friends tomorrow, Nov. 2, at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home
from 10 a.m. until service time at 11 a.m.
