The Atmore City Council approved a business license request for Medstar EMS ambulance service at its meeting Monday night.

Medstar EMS is an ambulance service out of Baldwin County.

This is the second ambulance service that’s requested a business license from the council.

In other business, the council:

• approved ordinance 03-2017, which is a federal airport security plan from Homeland Security.
