EA boys win track, field meet

One-hundred-and-nine points.
That was the margin of victory for Escambia Academy’s boys track and field team in their first home meet of the season on Feb. 28.
The Cougars compiled 180 points on the day. Lee-Scott Academy came in second with 71 points, and Bessemer Academy finished third with 66.
Other than EA, LSA and BA, Tuscaloosa Academy, Clarke Prep, Evangel Christian, Northside Methodist, Edgewood and Lyman competed in the track meet.
For the girls, LSA won by one point over Northside, with 129 points. TA came in third with 88 points.

EA competed in a meet in Selma on March 5, but is slated to travel to Presbyterian today for a meet in Hattiesburg, Miss.
The Cougars’ next home meet is March 21.
