JV TRACK CHAMPS

Escambia Academy’s junior varsity boys track and field team won the Class 1A-2A AISA state championship on April 9.
The Cougars racked up 237 points. The girls did well, finishing in fourth place with 75 points.
Results from the meet, including those who finished in the top three of their respective event are as follows:
Boys
• 100-meter dash — Randall Bonds, first place; Christian Crook, second place; and Maliki Haynes, third place
• 200-meter dash — Haynes, first place; and Crook, second place
• 400-meter dash — Zach Daniels, first place; and Daughtery McGhee, third place
• 800-meter run — Daniels, first place
• 1600-meter run — Parker Robinson, third place
• 110-meter hurdles — Sam Fields, first place; Kaleb Davis, second place; and Josh Spruill, third place
• 300-meter hurdles — Fields, first place
• 4×100-meter relay — EA, first place
