Dalton Lane Davis

Dalton Lane Davis, 22, of Uriah, died on June, 3, 2018.

He was a member of Goodway Baptist Church and worked as a carpenter over the years.
He is preceded in death by his step father, Brady Champion of Greenville; and his paternal grandparents, Jerry and Levice Davis of Goodway.
Dalton is survived by his father, Jerry “Rudy” Davis of Monroeville; his mother, Brenda Champion of Greenville; grandparents, Pete and Mary Branch of Fort Deposit; his aunt and uncle who raised him, Mitch and Sharon Johnson of Huxford; a brother, Shannon Champion of Greenville; a cousin who is like a sister, Michelle (Danny) Reid of Uriah; a niece; three little cousins he adored like nieces; and many aunts and cousins.
There will be a memorial for Dalton this Sat., June 16, 2018, from 5-7 p.m. at Goodway Baptist Church in Goodway.

Charles Evan Reynolds

Charles Evan Reynolds was born on Sept. 27, 1938, to the late Allen and Annie Reynolds in Atmore.

Charles went to be with the Lord on June 9, 2018. He had five sisters and brothers; and Volley and Johnny Lee preceded him in death.

Reynolds was married to Willie Mae Abner and to this union, Charles Reynolds Jr. and Victor Reynolds were born.

In 1975, Charles married Mary Alice Reynolds, his wife of 42 years, who preceded him in death on May 19, 2018.

To that union, two children were born, Angelia Williams (Marcus Williams) of Nashville, Tenn.; and Monica Crosby (Denzil Crosby) of Milwaukee, Wisc. He is also survived by his devoted sisters, Florestine Jackson (Gary, Ind.), Annie Ruth Johnson (El Paso, Texas); brother, Allen Reynolds Jr. (Denver, Colo.); nine grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and loving friends.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. this Sat., June 16, 2018, from Gaines Chapel AME Church.

Burial will immediately follow at Stallworth Cemetery.

 

Joseph N. DiTondo

Joseph N. DiTondo (Pop), 74, of Atmore, formerly of Binghamton, N.Y. passed away May 16, 2018.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Nicholas and Josephine DiTondo.

Survivors include his wife, Caralynn (Barrett) Ditondo; son, Nicholas; brother and sister in law, James and Judy DiTondo; sister and brother in law, Ellen and Arnold Lowe; sister and brother in law, Grace and Steven McKinney; sister, Nina Mitchell; sister, Margaret Nicosia; adopted children, Brenda and Paul for their love and support; and many friends and huge extended family.

A celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Donations may be made to the charity of your choice or an animal sanctuary.

 

Lola Peebles

Mrs. Lola Peebles, 88, passed away on Sat., June 9, 2018, in Pensacola, Fla.

She was born in Berlin, Germany and has resided in Bratt, Fla. for most of her life. She was a member of the Shiloh Freewill Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Henry Peebles.

She is survived her two sons, Willie (Pat) Peebles of McDavid, Fla. and Robert Franz Peebles of Bratt; two daughters, Mary L. Peebles of Atmore and Becky (Tony) Wheeler of Bratt; seven grandchildren, Kevin Peebles, Keith Peebles, Derick Peebles, Kathy Dickerson, Paula Short, Michael Stacey and Gene Wheeler; 15 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held on June 12, 2018, from the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Ricky Peebles and the Rev. James Sage officiating.

Burial followed at the Godwin Cemetery.

Visitation was held June 12 from the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Kevin Peebles, Keith Peebles, Derick Peebles, Gene Wheeler, Jeff Steadham and David Steadham.

Honorary pallbearer was Danny Steadham.

Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Homes LLC was in charge of all arrangements.

 

Marrian Nadene Gibson

Mrs. Marrian Nadene Gibson, 58, passed away on Wed., June 6, 2018, in Atmore.

She was a native of Bay Minette and has resided in Poarch for the past 30 years. She was a member of the Poarch Community Church. She is preceded in death by her father, John Calvin Joiner; sister, Ann Davis; and son, William Andrew Eddins.

She is survived by her mother, Patricia Mae Barlow of Bay Minette; two daughters, Pam Eddins of Dothan and Terry Glover of Atmore; one brother, Ricky Calvin (Sarah) Joiner Sr. of Rabun; two sisters, Sharon (Rayford) Tuberville of Dyas and Judy Boyette of Rabun; seven grandchildren, Drew, Christian, Little Robert, Destiny, Oscar, Brattany and Samantha; and one great-grandchild, Princes Skye Eddins.

Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Homes LLC was in charge of all arrangements.
