Escambia Academy’s varsity cheerleaders came back to Canoe with some more hardware after finishing at the top of several divisions at the UCA cheerleading camp last week.

This was the first time EA’s cheerleaders competed in the large squad division.

The following are the awards the squad received:

• Large squad overall — runner up

• Large squad cheer — champion

• Large squad band chant — champion

• Large squad rally routine — second place

• Large squad sideline — third place

• Traditions Award

• Top Banana Award on day two of camp

• UCA All-American Cheerleader — Mary Thompson Lancaster

• AISA All-Star Cheerleaders — Lancaster and Bailey Hayles
