The love for children resonates in Maggie Silbernagel’s voice.

Silbernagel, a board member of the recently-formed Philadelphia Place, a Home for Displaced Youth, presided over the board’s first official meeting in the fellowship hall of Flomaton First Baptist Church on July 12.

For almost two years, Silbernagel has been working on establishing a non profit and housing for the misplaced youth, according to reports. Philadelphia Place, named for being a place of brotherly love, will house 10 boys ages 10-18 and is being formed to bring awareness of the need of foster homes in the county and area.
