Muskogee Technology (MT) was recently selected as a member of Alabama Power’s Supplier Diversity Mentoring Program for 2018-19, according to a release.

Brenda Young, mentor program coordinator, said a selection committee made up of key business unit decisions-makers from AP and Southern Company Services selected MT for the program.

The program was recently rebranded under a new name/concept – EXCHANGE, Where Paths Cross, which is a signature supplier development initiative. Alabama Power created the Supplier Diversity Mentoring Program in 2008 to develop a more robust supplier base and to cultivate and expand business relationships.

The program pairs dedicated Alabama Power and Southern Company employee mentors, who have responsibility in the sourcing and procurement process, with supplier protégés who have the potential to cultivate lasting partnerships.

“Acceptance into this impressive program is a testament to Muskogee Technology’s growth potential as a minority-owned business,” MT President and CEO Westly L. Woodruff said in a release. “We look forward to building relationships with such a reputable company.”

Muskogee Technology provides a variety of services to meet the needs of the aerospace, defense, heavy machinery, wind energy and oil and gas industries.
