Escambia County defeated Clarke County 34-12 tonight in Grove Hill.

The Blue Devils improve to 4-2 overall, and 3-1 in Class 4A, Region 1. ECHS visits Andalusia in a key region game next week.

“I thought the kids played through adversity,” Head football coach Rico Jackson said. “They made some big plays toward the end.”

Jackson said Lue Williams had a magnificent game. He said Williams made some catches on fourth down, and Malik Brown ran the ball hard.

Defensively, Jackson said the Blue Devils made some necessary adjustments and the unit has been playing well all year.

Additionally, Jackson said Charles Lambert played a good defensive game, too.
