Johnson’s 6 TDs lift Flomaton to 43-42 victory over Thomasville

Flomaton’s Daquan Johnson tucked himself in and made a nice platter of offense on Friday night.

Johnson rushed for 188 yards on 27 carries and scored two touchdowns on the ground, and went 11-for-17 for 290 yards and four touchdowns in the air to help lead the Hurricanes to a 43-42 region victory over Thomasville on Friday.

Johnson totaled 478 yards by himself during the game, FHS head football coach Dough Vickery said.

Flomaton’s Qincie McCall had seven receptions for 169 yards and three touchdowns; and DaShun Odom had four receptions for 112 yards and a touchdown.

Davonte Bradley had 12 carries for 89 yards.

The Hurricanes racked up 576 yards of offense against Thomasville.

With the victory, Flomaton improves to 6-2 overall, and 3-2 in Class 3A, Region 1.

Flomaton is back in action next week at home against T.R. Miller.
