CIEDA buys Inn & Suites
Creek Indian Enterprises Development Authority (CIEDA) announced Feb. 5 its purchase of the Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott in Atmore.
This is the eighth hotel investment property for CIEDA.
Fairfield Inn by Marriott is located next to Interstate 65 in the Rivercane Industrial Development, and next to Wind Creek Casino Atmore. Recently, CIEDA purchased the Holiday Inn Express.
“We are excited to add the Fairfield Inn and Suites, Atmore to our current portfolio of hotel properties,” Tribal Chair and CEO Stephanie Bryan said in a release. “To have a hotel in our area affiliated with the Marriott brand increases the amount of people making this a stop on their travels, and it continues to help our economy grow.”
Fairfield Inn and Suites is considered a midscale level hotel property within the Marriott brand’s Classic Select tier, according to a release. The target guest is a no-nonsense travel searching for an experience that is stress free with balance.
“The addition of this hotel property in Atmore allows us to expand our hotel offerings to a wider variety of travelers,” CIEDA President and CEO Cody Williams said. “We are pleased to be able to invest in Atmore and its tourism industry.”
Fairfield Inn is a part of the Ritz-Carlton, Marriott and Starwood Preferred Guest rewards programs.
Yedla Management Co. will be managing the day-to-day hotel operations.
