Ms. Ruby Jean Dixon, 78, of Flomaton, entered her heavenly mansion on April 3, 2019 at Jay Hospital in Jay, Fla.

A native of Bay Minette, Dixon lived most of her life in Flomaton. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She enjoyed listening to gospel music, watching TV and planting flowers. She was a member of Fannie Baptist Church.

As she enters her heavenly mansion, she will be joining her husband, Murphy Dixon Sr.; and her parents, Rubin Jenkins and Millie Thompson.

Those left to cherish the beautiful memories of her life are three daughters, Deborah Salary of Pike Road, Christine (Willie) Bradley and Cynthia (Timothy) Davenport, all of Flomaton; four sons, Robert (Hazel) Green and Murphy (Linda) Dixon Jr., all of Brewton, Commodore Dixon of Century, Fla. and Dewight (Kathy) Dixon of Flomaton; four sisters, Lula Kemp of Benton Harbor, Mich., Alma Lee of Irvington, N.J., Priscilla Dixon of Flomaton and Donna Jenkins of Parlin, N.J.; two brothers, Eddie Crenshaw of Oregon and Earl Thompson of Bay Minette; 34 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A funeral service will be held this Sat., April 13, 2019, at 11 a.m. at Fannie Baptist Church in Flomaton with the Rev. Hiraim Stanton, pastor, officiating. Inhumation will be in Fannie/Damascus Cemetery in Flomaton with Turner Funeral Chapel directing.
