Giles D. Chapman Jr., 91, of Atmore, passed away April 12, 2019 in Atmore. He was born in Demopolis on Dec. 23, 1927, to the late Giles D. and Lida Alston Chapman Sr. He was a retired drug salesman from McKesson and Robbins Drug Co.

He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Atmore and was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Kathryn T. Chapman; and a sister, Joyce Fleming.

He is survived by his son, G. David (Carolyn) Chapman III of Gulf Shores; daughter, Mary “Kathy” (Bryan) Keel of Atmore; sister, Jo McVay of Birmingham; grandchildren, Dixon Keel and David (Melissa) Keel.

Graveside services were held April 14, 2019, at Grove Hill Cemetery in Grove Hill.

A celebration of life service was held April 14 from the First United Methodist Church of Atmore with Pastor Mike Blair officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the more than bricks fund at First United Methodist Church of Atmore.

Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
