Tournaments begin this week at Cal Ripken fields Thursday

District 7 Cal Ripken baseball action will begin this week at the Cal Ripken Field in Atmore.

The tournament, which will be held on the fields next to Tom Byrne Park, kicks off Friday night with 8U and 12U action.

In 8U play, first pitch for Atmore and Monroe is at 6 p.m. Friday; and in 12U action, Atmore faces NWE, also at 6 p.m. Friday. Games for both age groups continue Saturday at 10 a.m. in the loser’s bracket.

In 10U play, Flomaton and Atmore begin district play on June 13 at 6 p.m. Monroe faces the winner of the first game at 6 p.m. on June 14.

Both tournaments are double elimination.
