Oh boy, it’s hot; thankful for the coming rain

Driving around Atmore, I noticed a harsh glow on everything as the sun beat down its might, letting all know that summer has arrived, even though it’s not officially the start of summer.

If you know me, I don’t particularly like hot weather. I’d rather deal with the frigid temps than the hot, humidity and sweat that comes with it.

However, I don’t mind putting together a good sweat whenever I workout, which has been consistent as of late.

According to the National Weather Service, we’re going to get some reprieve, as a storm system will be moving its way through the rest of the week.

This means that precipitation percentages tonight, tomorrow and Friday are in our favor.

On the weekend, the precipitation story will likely keep going as showers and thunderstorms are expected.

We need water, and I’m thankful for the upcoming rain that we may get.

And I’m also looking forward to seeing dad and mom in Fairhope as well.

But the heat is no joke.

Take care of yourselves. Drink plenty of water and try and stay cool.

I’ll do likewise and avoid sweating too much.
