The first ever Big Summer Blow Out will be held next Thurs., July 18, according to chamber officials.
The Atmore Area Chamber of Commerce, which is sponsoring the event with the support of 2019 trustees, announced the event recently.
According to a release, the event will begin with an after-hours shopping event from 5-7 p.m., including a downtown community-lead walking audit from 5:30-6:45, a community bike ride starting at 7:15 and concluding with an after-hours community splash pad glow party from 7-9.
Additionally, at the conclusion of the after-hours shopping event and walking audit, community members are asked to participate in a bike parade, which will begin between First National Bank & Trust and The Yellow Garden from Trammell Street to the splash pad using a temporary bike lane.
The event is free and will go to support Youth Leadership Atmore with the purchase of a dinner plate of hot dogs, chips and drink from Pepsi-Cola Bottling Co. of Atmore.
