Mr. Roy L.  Steadham, 72, passed away on July 29, 2019, at his home in Century, Fla.

Mr. Steadham was a native of Century, former resident of Ottawa, Kansas, for 22 years and had resided in Century for the past seven years.

He was a graduate of Century High School, a veteran of the Vietnam Conflict serving with the U.S. Navy and attended Sardis Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Ella Louise Steadham; two sisters, Al Godwin and Arlene Howell; and one brother, Eugene Howell.

He is survived by his mother, Dorothy Steadham of McDavid, Fla.; one son, James D. (Melanie) Steadham of Atmore; one daughter, Lesley Steadham of Jay; two brothers, Dalton Steadham of McDavid and Nathan Hardy of Atmore; two sisters, Sandra (Mac, Jr.) Morris of McDavid and Mary (Ray) Cranford of Savanna, Ga.; five grandchildren, Paige Steadham, Savannah Steadham, Reygan Steadham, Cody Kent and Michael Haskew; one great-grandchild, Carson Bell; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services were held Aug. 2, 2019 at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Bro. Wayne Weekly officiating.

Burial followed at the Rigby Cemetery.

Visitation was held Aug. 2 at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were James Steadham, Floyd Burkett, Danny Steadham, David Steadham, Jeff Steadham and Jeffery Steadham.

Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Homes LLC of Atmore was in charge of all arrangements.
