Prison search yields contraband

An operation conducted at G.K. Fountain Correctional Facility on Monday recovered weapons, contraband and drugs, according to the Alabama Department of Corrections.
Public Information Officer Bob Horton said 300 officials from local, county and state law enforcement agencies conducted the predawn operation, and recovered 621 makeshift weapons, 51 contraband cellphones, 240 grams of synthetic drugs and 7 gallons of an alcoholic beverage that inmates refer to as julep or pruno.
