The Beauty Room is open in Atmore.

The newest business is located inside of Heavenly Escape Salon and Spa, and is owned by Brewton native Jessica Fillmore.

Fillmore said she specializes in microblading, lash lifts and tints, and advanced facials.

Fillmore said she has been able to follow her passion because her son, Tucker, has gotten older.

“I’ve been a licensed esthetician for five years now, and recently started working in permanent makeup this past year,” Fillmore said.

Fillmore said microblading is a semi-permanent procedure that implants pigment into the skin around the eyebrows to mimic real hair like strokes. This helps make the brows appear more youthful and full, she said.

“Due to hormones, many lose hair in their eyebrows over time and is a common reason why many women choose microblading,” she said. “Some women also choose Microblading so they don’t have to worry about filling in their brows with make-up each day. It’s a simple procedure that everyone will love.”

Fillmore said microblading lasts between 18-24 months, depending on skin type. Touch ups are required over the years, she said.

Fillmore said lash lifting and tinting is a 45-minute treatment that will last on lashes for four to six weeks.

“The lash lift and tint will do to your eyelashes what a good mascara and curler would do on a day to day basis,” she said. “Except most lash curlers are damaging to your lashes and wearing mascara every day can be irritating for some. This service is perfect for someone who wants subtle definition day to day in their own natural lashes with or without make-up.”

Fillmore only takes appointments as she is not in Atmore every day of the week.
