Though the festival for this year is canceled, the Atmore Area Chamber of Commerce highly values all involved in Williams Station Day and all other festivals,” the release said. “As stated in the vendor agreement, the Williams Station Day refund policy is ‘No refunds for cancellation, removal for cause, or acts of God,’ however, the Atmore Area Chamber of Commerce has chosen to honor all currently paid and participating 2019 vendors for the 2020 Williams Station Day, Oct. 24. These participants will be honored with no additional fee and/or documentation requirements. Should a vendor not be able to attend in 2020 participation fees will be considered forfeited.”

According to the National Weather Service, there is a 80 percent chance of showers today and tonight, along with a 70 percent chance likely of showers tomorrow.

When asked whether the chamber could postpone until next Sat., Nov. 2, Executive Director Emily Wilson said via email, “unfortunately, no,” adding, “there are multiple contributing factors such as vendors commitments elsewhere, critical key involved parties out of town and over 24 obligations/events requiring attention in the next 45 days.”

Additionally, the chamber also announced that the 2019 Patron’s Party will proceed as planned and all patrons and juried artists will be contacted today. Additionally, those in the Inaugural BARK-Tober Fest Pet Costume Contest will be rescheduled and that information will be shared as soon as it is available.

According to the release, the chamber team is working on the logistics involved in this decision and apologize for delayed responses.
