Mr. Horace “Pee Wee” Sims, 85, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 24, 2019, at his home in Atmore. 

Mr. Sims was a native of Evergreen and had resided in Atmore since 1985. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, avid fisherman and hunter and was a member of the Atmore Country Club.

He attended the Little River Holiness Church. He is preceded in death by his wife, Betty Sims; father, Ed Sims; mother, Willie Mae Faulk; step-son, Bobby Lassitter; three brothers; and three sisters.

He is survived by his two sons, Terry Sims of Atmore and Thomas Sims of Atmore; two daughters, Debbie (Steve) Albritton of Atmore and Pamela (Mike) Godwin of Atmore; two brothers, David (Annette) Faulk of Lapine and Thomas “Jr.” (Melanie) Sims of Red Level; one sister, Jewell Faulk of Waynesboro, Miss.; 17 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren. 

Funeral services were held Oct. 27, 2019 at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. D.L. Harville officiating.

Burial followed at the Poplar Springs Cemetery.

Visitation was held Oct. 27, 2019 at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home. 

Pallbearers were Ryan Albritton, Kyle Albritton, Destin Sims, Colton Sims, Brandon Blanton, Charles Gregson, David Morris and Timothy Gregson.

Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Homes LLC of Atmore was in charge of all arrangements.
