Mrs. Mary Ellen Harrelson, 73, of Goodway passed away on Saturday, Oct. 26, 2019, at her residence. Mrs. Harrelson was born in Goodway and had lived most of her life between Goodway and Atmore.

Mrs. Harrelson worked at Stayfast and Vanity Fair as a seamstress. She was of the Baptist faith and attended Enon Baptist Church. Mrs. Harrelson is preceded in death by her parents, William and Nettie Lilley; and a son, Eric Harrelson.

Survivors include her husband, Melvin Harrelson of Goodway; a daughter, Crystal Harrelson McDonald of Goodway; two sisters, Peggy Petty of Goodway and Elaine Chavies; and husband, Clifford of Little River; and two grandchildren; Jennifer McDonald of Pensacola and Jessica Pugh of Goodway.

Funeral services for Mrs. Harrelson will be held today, Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2019 at 10 a.m. at Enon Baptist Church with the Rev. C.L. Langford and the Rev. James Henry officiating. Burial will follow in Enon Cemetery. Visitation was Oct. 29, 2019 at Monroe Chapel Funeral Home.
