Master Rickey Rydell “Boobie” Lyons III, 3, of Atmore, entered his angelic mansion on Thurs., Oct. 31, 2019, in Atmore.
“Boobie,” as we called by his family and friends, entered his earthly journey on Dec. 22, 2015, and in his 3 years, 10 months and 9 days of life, he impacted many lives. His family would best describe him as a very happy baby, an awesome kid and an amazing young man. As he played and enjoyed the joys of being a boy, he found excitement in the PAW Patrol, Superman and Ninja Turtles. He attended Lil Angels Daycare Center.
Those whom he joins in heaven are his paternal grandmother, Krishandra Lyons; his paternal great-grandmother, Josie Mae Lyons; paternal great-grandfather, Elijah (Johnny) Lyons; and other family members.
Those who will forever cherish fond memories and love for “Boobie” are his mother, Cadena L. Curtis of Atmore; his father, Rickey R. Lyons of Atmore; two sisters, Jazareia of Atmore and London of Flomaton; four brothers, Malachi, Chad, Kadenx and Aubrey, all of Atmore; grandmother, Carmen Wooden of Racine, Wisc.; grandparents, Rickey (Tammy) Lyons I of Brewton; great-grandparents, Ulysses and Manerva Wooden, Mildred Hill and Willie Curtis, all of Racine; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
A celebration of life service will be held this Sat., Nov. 9, 2019, at 11 a.m. at Greater Mt. Triumph Baptist Church, 157 Carver Ave., Atmore with the Rev. Willie Hawthorne as host pastor and the Rev. Amos Barnes Jr., pastor of St. John Baptist Church, Spanish Fort, as eulogist. Inhumation will be in Fairview Cemetery. Public viewing will be from 2-7 pm at the funeral home. His body will lie in repose at the church one hour prior to the funeral service with Turner Funeral Chapel directing.
