Ms. Brunetta Bradford, 65, of Atmore, gained eternal rest on Sunday, Dec. 8, 2019, at Atmore Community Hospital.

A native of Atmore, Brunetta was a 1972 graduate of Escambia County High School. She worked for many years at Vanity Fair and was a member of Gaines Chapel AME Church. She was a loving lady who enjoyed time with her family. She also enjoyed fishing.

Those that wait her heavenly arrival are her husband, Aquilla Bradford; her mother, Mae Fannie Brown; and her step-father, J. S. Brown Sr.

Those left to cherish beautiful memories of her life are her sons, Ato (Lakeisha Brown) McCants of Pensacola, Fla., Calvin (Marketia) McCants of Atmore and Jeffery (Yolanda Johnson) McCants of Mobile; one sister, Bonnie Roberts Bazemore of Atmore; three brothers, J. S. Brown Jr. and Gregory Brown both of Atmore, and S.J. (Annie Rose) Brown of Phenix City; 13 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; in-laws, Gola (Min. McKinley) Dailey, Betty Stewart, James Bradford, Dorita (Bo) Purifoy; one Aunt, Elnetta Jordan Thomas; three devoted friends, Ester “Ms. Boo Boo” Jett, Alice Kyles and Tonie Brown; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 

A funeral service was held Sat., Dec. 14, 2019 at Gaines Chapel AME Church with Rev. Cleitus Walker Sr., pastor and Bishop Tommie Thomas as eulogist. Inhumation was in Fairview Cemetery with Turner Funeral Chapel directing.
