Mr. William Walter Wells, 62, passed away on Monday, December 9, 2019 in Mobile.

Mr. Wells was a native of Bay Minette, former resident of Andalusia and had resided in the Baldwin County area for the past 41 years.

He was a truck driver and heavy equipment operator with over 40 years of service. He loved southern gospel and bluegrass music, was a practical joker, loved his family, especially his grandchildren and his dogs, Bourbon and Harley. He is preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Katie Lou Wells; and sister, Bettie Hall.

He is survived by a wife of 41 years, Margie Hadley Wells of Perdido; one daughter, Lanita (John) Pfeffer of Perdido; one sister, Jean Wells of Atmore; two grandchildren, Tanner Pfeffer (Madison Bryars) of Perdido and Tyler Presley (Taylor Gray) of Perdido; and two great-grandchildren, John Barrett Pfeffer and Angel Brittingham. 

Funeral services were held Saturday, December 14, 2019 at the Petty-Eastside Chapel with the Rev. Wendell Hadley officiating.

Burial followed at the Lottie Methodist Cemetery.

Visitation was held Saturday, December 14, 2019 at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Chester D. Hadley, Willie Hadley, Joel Minchew, Harley Mace, Robert Kohersen and Donald Presley Jr.

Honorary pallbearer was Michael Dunn.

Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Homes LLC of Atmore was in charge of all arrangements.
