Mr. Wallace Wade Bailey, 87, of Frisco City, passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2020, at his home.
Mr. Bailey was born and raised in Monroe County and was a member of Central Church of Christ in Ollie. He was a Boy Scout leader in Atmore and was also a member of the Uriah Area Development Association (Uriah Veterans Memorial Park).
Mr. Bailey served in the United States Army. He was a retired chemical operator with Monsanto.
Mr. Bailey is preceded in death by his parents, S.B. and Mattie Bailey and his late wife, Helen Elouise Marshall Bailey.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Bailey of Frisco City; four sons, Wallace Wade Bailey Jr. of Atlanta, Ga., Kevin Adam Bailey of Davisville, Fla., Timothy Leon Bailey of Eliska and Ronald Lee Bailey of Uriah; two daughters, Polly R. Bailey of Frisco City and Teresa Metts of Goodway; two brothers, Ellie Bailey of Atmore and Harry Bailey of Cantonment, Fla.; one sister, Reba Davis of New Braunfels, Texas; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mr. Bailey were held February 8, 2020, at Monroe Chapel Funeral Home with Pastor David Cooper officiating. Burial followed in Oak Hill Cemetery in Atmore. Visitation was held February 8, 2020 at the funeral home.
