- The newly installed lights at the Exit 57 interchange on Interstate 65 in Atmore were switched on March 31 at approximately 7:30 p.m. Mayor Jim Staff flipped the switch and after a brief moment, all were ignited. The interstate lights installation was a joint effort between the Alabama Department of Transporation, the city of Atmore and the Poarch Creek Indians.
