Escambia County Middle School has been selected as a 2019-20 Imagine Nation Beacon School, according to school officials.

Principal Debbie Bolden announced the selection on May 1.

ECMS is one of 97 schools to receive the honor for the school year.

Bolden said in an email that the school uses Think Through Math from Imagine Learning, which is a computer program that supplements the school’s math program.

“We have been using it for three-and-a-half years,” Bolden said.

ECMS will receive an Imagine Learning banner recognizing the school as an IMagine Nation Beacon School.

“We recognize that this achievement would not be possible without the hard work and dedication of many administrators, teachers, staff, students and parents,” Imagine Learning Chief Executive Officer Jeremy Cowdrey said. “At Imagine Learning, we congratulate you on your high level of commitment, enthusiasm and educational innovation.”
